Chase Plastics will showcase enhanced medical product lineup at PLASTEC West

Visit us at booth 3944 as we celebrate 20 years of outrageous customer service

Just what the doctor ordered

As many processors have added capabilities in the medical sector to achieve application diversity and profitable, sustainable growth, we’ve fortified our product line to ensure that you have a wide range of material options available to produce quality, cost-effective applications.

FDA-compliant and medical-grade applications can be unfamiliar territory for many entering the medical arena. Through our large offering of high-quality products, we can not only provide solutions to your challenges, but also exceed your expectations.

Increase design flexibility while slashing weight and cost

Looking for an engineered resin to replace metal or die cast for superior performance and savings? We’ve got you covered with alternatives from conductive to antistatic materials and everything in between.

Our recently expanded portfolio of TPEs is constantly evolving and includes products as soft as zero shore A. Let us show you how metal-to-plastic replacement can reduce cost and weight while giving you the design freedom that you need to develop quality applications without sacrificing performance.

Meet Andy Conte, Chase Plastics’ head of technical service

We’re pleased to announce that Andy Conte, Chase Plastics’ head of technical service, will be manning our booth to answer all of your technical and regulatory questions. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Andy and our technically accomplished sales team can provide the knowledge and expertise you need to help your business operate more efficiently.

20 years of outrageous customer service

In 1992, Chase Plastics embarked on a path to change a thermoplastic industry dominated by global resin distributors too big to understand and meet the needs of smaller processors. We’ve since become a leading North American distributor of more than 6,400 engineered, specialty and commodity thermoplastics through a business model built on old-fashioned values, relationships, value-added services and providing unrivaled service and cost competitiveness.

We would like to thank our existing customers for your support over the years, and we look forward to seeing you at PLASTEC West. Additionally, we’re very much looking forward to building new relationships in Anaheim and showing you how leading-edge inventory and order tracking technology; account teams comprising sales, customer service and supply chain management professionals; and on-staff product technical support can help your company reach its full potential.

Chase Plastics Takes Industry Pulse

Tooling, Processing, Resin Sales Rebounding

As one of only two thermoplastic distributors at this year’s PLASTEC East show, Chase Plastics had the opportunity to speak with end users and processors from across the Northeast region. We liked what we heard.

The buzz among conference attendees was all about rebounding sales and profits, and the go-ahead on projects mothballed since 2007. Better still, banks are loosening their hold on credit, which is spurring new application and program development.

That’s good news for toolmakers, processors, resin manufacturers and distributors.

(Check out this special report on distribution featuring Chase Plastics President Kevin Chase, and others, in the June 14 issue of Plastics News).

Materials Expertise in Demand

We also saw a significant increase in end users tapping distributors to provide materials expertise and application development support. With specific programs in mind, PLASTEC visitors at the Chase booth sought assistance with materials selection, performance attributes, lead times and cost comparisons.

The resins getting the most interest included:

  • Clear products and clear alternatives to polycarbonates (especially Skygreen® PETG) for medical applications
  • Soft-touch elastomers
  • Adhesion-grade elastomers
  • Rigid materials meeting FDA and USP VI ISO10993 approval

Chase Plastics carries these products and more. In fact, we represent 35 suppliers and more than 5,000 materials offerings. Check out our product line up and materials solutions here.

Flexibility a lifeline in tentative market

At PLASTEC West, last February, Chase Plastics had the opportunity to speak with processors from across the region. Here’s what they said.

Booth visitors, while guardedly upbeat, expressed expectations for growth in some markets with others holding steady. Clearly a transitional environment, all agreed that flexibility is crucial to long-term success.

That flexibility is playing out at Chase Plastics with more of our customers taking advantage of both our “no minimum order” policy and core and general stocking programs. Plus, we’ve had positive response to our expanded line of commodity materials in addition to our engineered and specialty thermoplastics.

With flexibility in material options and services, processors can better meet a diversity of industry needs.
